Why Enjoybot Use lithium iron phosphate?
This is the point we care most about. LiFePO4, or lithium iron phosphate batteries are more safety and stable than other lithium-based batteries. They do not overheat and catch fire and they have no risk of exploding like some other types of lithium cells. They have excellent thermal stability at low temperatures and high temperatures, making it ideal for use in a variety of solar, home back up, marine, trolling motor, boar, RVs, Motorhome, Camper, Vans, golf cart, off-grid applications. The lithium iron phosphate battery is also nonflammable when it is mishandled during rapid charge and discharge or when short circuit problems occur.
Non-toxic, non-spilling, and non-leaking
The lithium iron phosphate battery offers many advantages over other types of rechargeable batteries. Unlike lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, LiFePO4 is non-toxic, does not leak toxic gases, and does not spill sulfuric acid. A new study has found that lithium-ion batteries produce dozens of toxic gases when overheated, and a fully charged battery will release more of these gases than a battery with 50 percent charge. As for lead-acid batteries, overcharge, suffering excessive shaking, mounted at an angle or accidentally tipped over, can cause battery leakage. The acid in the battery is corrosive and can damage clothing, irritate the skin and cause metallic corrosion if left uncleaned.
Protect the environment
Lithium iron phosphate batteries are green low-carbon environmental protection batteries and can be recycled. They contain no lead, mercury, cadmium, or other toxic and harmful metal elements, and the manufacturing process does not pollute the environment. They have no adverse environmental effects, so they are considered to be absolutely green environmentally friendly batteries.
Longer Working Time
Lead-acid batteries are not recommended for deep discharge, which will cause permanent damage to the battery, so most lead-acid batteries have a discharge depth of only 50 ~ 80%. Conversely, LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries allow the complete discharge, that is to say, of 100% of its power and there is no long term effect. Using the full capacity of LiFePO4 batteries will enable you to utilize more of their power.
The longevity of lithium iron phosphate batteries is another huge advantage, especially when compared to their traditional lead-acid counterparts. Lithium iron phosphate batteries typically last 8-10 years, while lead-acid batteries may only last 3-5 years. This means a lithium iron phosphate battery will last about 5 years longer than a lead-acid battery. It will also last about twice as long as most other lithium batteries based on different technologies.
Specifically Designed BMS
BMS stands for battery management system. It is an important part of any LiFePO4 battery system. The primary function of a BMS is to monitor the cells in a battery pack and balance the voltages. If one cell is higher or lower than the others, the BMS will adjust the current flow to bring the cell back into balance.In addition to balancing voltage, a battery management system (BMS) also protects the cells from overcharging, over-discharging, and overheating. Overcharging can damage batteries, and over-discharging can cause them to become unstable. A BMS will shut off the charging current when the battery pack is fully charged, and it will cut off the discharge current when the pack is nearly empty. It will also monitor the temperature of each cell and shut off current if temperatures get too high.
NO ACTIVE MAINTENANCE
This maintenance-free design, is a boon to those who are not skilled in manual operation. Lead-acid batteries need special maintenance, they need to be added with water and liquid, and some need to be drained. While lead-acid batteries need special maintenance or else their lifespan can be reduced, LiFePO4 batteries do not need this kind of intensive care.
Lighter Weight and Portable
Thanks for the high energy density, lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries are relatively compact in size and weight and need less space for installation. Compared to lead-acid batteries, LiFePO4 batteries weigh 1/3 as much. This means that campers, RVers, boaters, off grid solar users and golf carter can enjoy less fuel consumption and more convenient traveling. It is reported that 750 kg of lead-acid batteries are required to properly power an LDV light van while only 200 kg of LiFePO4 batteries are needed. This results in a significant reduction of mechanical load of the van.
High Discharge Rate
